Economic Regeneration is a small team and is involved in a wide range of activities and schemes in the Borough. The team lead on supporting businesses, developing the economy, town centre development as well as specific project work. Whilst we all play our unique role within the Council, we are keen to engage with you and if you think we can directly help, or can signpost you, please contact the team members. Below is a little more about each of them:

Mark Hryniw

Town Centre Manager

Oadby & Wigston Borough Council

Mark's focus is on the three town centres of Oadby, Wigston and South Wigston, leading on work to develop the offer, engage business and support developments that make our centres thrive. Mark splits his time with other towns, thereby bringing in outside ideas to ensure our town centres grow.

Jamie To

National Management Trainee

Oadby & Wigston Borough Council

Jamie is working at Oadby and Wigston Borough Council on a graduate programme run by the Local Government Association. Jamie splits his time between Economic Regeneration and the Planning Policy Team. Jamie leads on the management of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund for the Council.

Raheema Caratella

UKSPF Town Centres Projects Officer

Oadby & Wigston Borough Council

Raheema is the Town Centres Projects Officer in the team. Her focus is on the delivery of projects around the visitor economy and town centres.

Sheka Richardson

UKSPF Administrative Coordinator

Oadby and Wigston Borough Council

Sheka's role is focused on the programme activities within the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. With a strong background in administration, Sheka provides support across the team to ensure successful delivery of the UKSPF programme at Oadby and Wigston Borough Council

The regeneration team looks to work across both the public and private sectors to drive economic growth in the Borough. It is our aspiration that the Borough of Oadby and Wigston is a place where businesses start-up, grow and expand. We recognise that, to achieve the economic objectives we need to work closely with our local community, the business community and with key support agencies and funders.
