The new Economic Regeneration Strategy was approved by Committee on 5 December 2023. This refreshed document sets out how the Council will meet the vision of:
"By 2028, Oadby and Wigston will have an inclusive and sustainable economy that fosters innovation, supports local businesses, generates high-quality employment, and enhances the overall quality of life for residents."
The strategy is split into six key priorities:

- Our Visitor Economy
- Our Businesses
- Our People
- Our Environment
- Our Partners
